Not wanted now as unsuitable for the upcoming PIGSEAR.

I believe this is Bachmann but can find no name so not positive. Feel free to correct me. It is not perfect so i will list the bad points first which should all be visible in the photos.

The grey plastic is yellowing in places.

The coal load is starting to go banana shape. In other plastic from my toy train collection I have had success with the judicial use of hot water and gentle persuasion but have not tried here.

I believe there should be a wheel-on-a-stick at one end, something to do with brakes? Whatever it is, it's missing.

Things to note.

It's markings include SNCF.

It has a hook and loop coupling at one end and a knuckle at the other.

To end positively it is a solid model with no obvious structural problems which runs along the track very well on its plastic wheels.

Not sure about a price so how about £25 plus shipping which through Hermes would be about £4.00. it could also be picked up from me here five miles east of Norwich.

Any relevant questions then feel free to ask.

thank you for looking.

The coal load and the model certainly look like a Bachmann 70 ton 3-bay hopper. It also seems to be one of the kit range, based on the grey colour. The decals would have been applied by a previous owner as the kits, as far as I know, were unlettered. These models are easy re-painted - War Gamers acrylics are good for this purpose - and the coal load can be improved by applying a more realistic 'coal'.
A repaint would certainly improve the model and save further UV deterioration.

Yes looks like one of the kits. Curious markings - Dutch, Belgian, German and French all in one!

I think the markings are from the rub on decal set of older Playmobil coaches.....that explains the 1 and 2...first and second class coal!

I need one of these wagons for a 'project'

PM on it's way
