Hi guys,

Looking for a Bachmann Lyn, condition not particularly important as I'm looking to repaint and fit with RC etc...

Cheers

Rob
Hi Rob. I seem to remember buying one a few years ago which should be in the garage somewhere unless I've sold it and forgotten! That's the trouble with getting old. My retirement should have commenced today and I'm just getting ready for a family 'get together' this weekend so won't be able to try and locate it until Tuesday at the earliest. If you've had no luck by then, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks Mike, you don't happen to know if its an early or late version do you?

Cheers

Rob. All I can remember is that it was green and had those 'chopper' couplings! I wouldn't know how to tell the difference anyway.

Good evening Rob. Managed to finish my chores for this week and had what I thought was going to be a quick look in the garage. Took me over 4 hours to locate this! I forgot how much stuff I'd actually got squirreled away. I'm pretty sure there's over 150 locos alone. Is this what you are after? I've just given it a test run around the garden - will post a video when I've worked out how to get it from a tablet to a laptop and then upload.

It's got driver and fireman, a chopper coupling ready to mount on the front buffer beam, a couple of knuckle couplers if needed and comes boxed. It's in pretty good condition and runs very smoothly despite the track not having been cleaned for a couple of weeks.

Video below - I hope!

Looks like the early version judging by the valve gear, but no worries there if you're fitting R/C. Recently did the same to mine. Makes a massive difference to the running quality, although in the vid that looks to be running fine.

Hi Rob. Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you. I don't have a courier account so have been exploring postage options. No matter what I do, I can't get the weight under 2kg so whether I use Royal Mail or Parcelfarce the postage is going to be about £15 unless you can suggest something cheaper. I'm asking for total (including shipping) £125. If that's acceptable contact me via PM for payment details. If that's too pricey for you I'll place it in the sales section in case anyone else is interested. The scale of this is too big to sit well with the stock I want to keep. I've got a Bachmann Davenport diesel and an Accucraft Bagguley which are to a similar scale and will be listed shortly too.

Hi Mike, Apologies for the delay in responding.

If you don't mind, I'll pass on your Lyn, my local model shop has one of the later versions at a very reasonable price (hadn't seen it before posting here).

Thank you anyway, and apologies for messing you about a bit.

Cheers

Rob
