Automatic reverse loop?

Is there any way to create an automatic reverse loop so that the train itself can change direction without any human intervention?

Like shown below. My locos are battery operated so no issue with electrical polarity. The goal is to run train uninterrupted.

If you are using LGB track with dead-rail (onboard battery) power there is nothing to do, just let the train run through the loop. The loco will just push the point blades over when exiting the loop.

If you have an LGB electric point motor attached (an old one works quite well) the point will send the loco round the other way next journey. If you have a normal LGB point lever it should return the rails so that the train will go round the loop same way each trip.

I tested and found the loco indeed pushing the tracks on intended direction . It worked most of the time. If I am pushing with loco at the end and some light wagon with plastic wheels at the front then at times it climbs over the rail. But my tracks are very old and lying outdoor for years. So I put it down to wear & tear. May be if I buy new LGB 12000/12100 then it should fix as it should have better spring actions.
