Stewie you are making very good progress. It is nice to see Doggo in most of the pictures.
Thanks Paul, I have been able to spend a lot of time lately on the railway.Stewie you are making very good progress. It is nice to see Doggo in most of the pictures.
Thank you Phil, it should be a lot nicer in a few years time when there are 3 times as many plants and they all start to fill in.You have achieved a great deal, in a short time..
Problem is, once you get to a stage where you can run something, the work-rate somehow tends to drop quite markedly.
Very impressed with your line. - I like the way the train disappears from view, even though the planting is not established.
PhilP.
Thankyou P playmofire , who doesn't like a good wiggleAll looking very good indeed and the high "wiggle" factor and the "now you see it, now you don't" bends make a lot of interest for the spectator.
Be careful about putting too many plants in, otherwise you may end ip doing more hacking away of undergrowth than actually testing your trainsThank you Phil, it should be a lot nicer in a few years time when there are 3 times as many plants and they all start to fill in.
Thanks, wow guess I should of painted it grey/white insteadYou've achieved a huge amount, and good to have got trains running before the winter sets in.
Your metal balloon loop reminds me of the Viaduc du Caramel (yes, really: Google it!), proving that there is a prototype for everything![]()
Such a magnificent stone structure for a line that lasted all of 20 years, if I read it correctlyYou've achieved a huge amount, and good to have got trains running before the winter sets in.

Yes, I believe that's correct. I read somewhere that it was built so that it could be blown up if the area was invaded. Much of the route is now a spectacular road, which I came upon by accident several years ago. With a lot of sharpe curves slower is better, but with 12 batteries you will get longer duration and of course more speed. A sound unit should also be possible, My Loco Sound do e locs.A couple of video's of Mr Big Head delivering the goods.
Just testing the R/C install, that is the top speed of 8x nimh AA batteries.
I have a 10 battery holder on order, will test how that goes or maybe 2 x 6 in series will be better.
There is plenty of room in the middle for any of those holders.
The speed is ok, just a tad quicker would be better. I will try 10 batteries next, as that's all the batteries I have anywayWith a lot of sharpe curves slower is better, but with 12 batteries you will get longer duration and of course more speed. Thanks Paul, its starting to come together now.Excellent stuff. Looking good.
Great videos Stewie. The speed is ok, just a tad quicker would be better. I will try 10 batteries next, as that's all the batteries I have anyway.
I will probably be in the minority, but I don't like the sound on locos. When I watch videos of other peoples railways, I always turn the sound off.
Just the sound of metal wheels on the track is nice and relaxing.
