ive bought from gscaleonline before, good service and fair prices for the uk, because they are cheaper in usa but then postage, uks handling charge for import duty, and the duty itself, been stung like that before but have also got some bargains form usa and australia.

Trainworld is running a special right now, both for single coaches and for sets.
You can get a carriage + freight brand new for less than one in Britain + if you buy more the freight doesn't increase that much.

Buy 6 :) I wish I could :(

Twojags isn't an option for me as customs and freight is about the same from Britain and the states.

Since he appears to buy or used to buy most of his stock from online US traders, mostly ebay, it would be logical to assume that you could get a cheaper price by importing them yourself if you are willing to search for them.
This is partially true as the shipping for one item can be less economical than three or more. So the saving over twojags can be fairly small if you are buying on one item. I know, I always bought multiples when purchasing from the States and then passed the extras on to friends, members etc.

Following the news there is a good chance that the US$ may plummet in value next week so it is worth hanging on for a few days and watching the exchange rates and US price may become bargains if this happens. The down side will be since the US government owes so much money to UK banks the £ will fall too making the Euro more expensive....unless of course the Mediterrainian countries crash that too.

Heres hopping the dollar will crash, i have been adding a few US items to my watch list in ebay just in case:impatient:

good idea Steve but I hvnot the time at moment too many other things to do,

The banks really are being a pain stopping transactions. Barclays now want you to tell them if you will be using your cards abroad before you do it and what dates, although they have just siad they soon they will make European transfers available to home banking - go work that one out!

We had a transaction stopped at work, it was to Microsoft Ireland for Microsoft online services (mail +++).
Getting a bit annoying...

Surely the banks are in breech of several trade agreements, & possibly the Human Rights Act as well
Still they are run by parasites who think they are gods . They should be nationalised forthwith. ( bunch of T**ts)
Rant over !
