Aristo / Bachmann rail joiners / fish plates

I'm after some regular (non-insulating) Arsito / Bachmann pattern rail joiner / fish plates.

They're listed as available on the Bachmann website, but I can't find a retailer with them in stock, and Bachmann aren't aware of a stockist who has any.

A bit like London buses - none when you want one, then when you're walking to the tube station, three come along at once

You should be able to find the stainless steel ones, but the brass ones are like rocking-horse droppings!

I haven't found either yet

But it's the brass ones that Bachmann are currently listing as available

Try Andrew at Garden Rail Centres. He has the PIKO ones and may have second hand Aristo or Bachman.

I'll have another look - his was one of my first websites, as he's done me proud with little bits in the past. I didn't look in the secondhand part; too dangerous

Yes, I think Bachmann have probably only just made the latest batch available, and they'll take a while to filter through to the stockists.

I think they're the best rail joining solution, and I prefer them to some rail clamps (although having just purchased a job-lot of second hand Hillman clamps, I think they (Hillman) could be a lot better than other breeds).

The Hillman clamps will do LGB to LGB, but I want to use the Bachmann fishplates for Aristo to LGB.
