Another dodgy one

£100 does seem a little steep for 3 to 5 metres of track. 3 to 5 metres is also disturbingly vague!

it s free enterprise at work, you can ask whatyou want for stuff you own..
its upto the buyer to work out if its a good deal..

I strongly suspect that is a mistyping, and the seller means approx. 35 metres......

You may well be correct - he does say (quote) "[style="color: #0000ff;"]I CAN CONFIRM THIS FOR A SERTIOUS BIDDER."

I asked him did he mean 35 metres and he said 3 to 5. He said that he had sold 12m to a local guy. So £100 gets you an unknown amount as the picture looks like about 20m!

12ft of brand new comes in at under £60.

He needs to make room for his Grandparents?????????? what no space at the cemetery? needs to put them in the garden??????????

First thing this morning i send this message to him

"hi if all in the photo is included in the sale i will give you your £100 i can either buy it now through ebay or if you prefer you can close the auction to save on fees please ring me on ***** ********so you can confirm my intentions are genuine"
Tony

Four messages back and forth later and asking IF all is included that is in the photo in every message i have just recived this reply

"I will measure the track the advert has caused some confusion. The picture os for display purposes only"

Says it all really :rolf::rolf:

Am i missing something here as i can't seem to see the 3 to 5m any more
could he have edited the text ??

And he states
THIS PHOTO IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY AND REPRESENTS THE SCALE AND CONDITION OF TRACK YOU ARE BIDDING FOR.

So poss not even a pic of what is for sale

EDIT Oop's Tony posted the answer while i was typing this

I like the way he also says the track will be held for 30 days after payment, so that the Paypal transaction can't be reversed when you find out you've bought a 30cm length of chewed track for £100.

Hi All- i have asked the ebayer if the point is included in the sale ..also if i could have a picture of the actual track for sale -and can i pay on collection - as i have 100% rating on ebay -- waiting for a reply - -i will post answer regards Dave

HI.all --i have had a reply over night -very short and sweet---- hi update on pict to follow soon any elctrical -may work or not - may be damage to track as it has been outside -then surprise -- surprise --- paypal only before collection ----:thumbdown: regards Dave

I think 'don't touch with a barge poll' springs to mind there.

"Held for 30 days after payment" means that if you don't pick it up within 30 days, he will re-list it.

Noticed it was relisted yesterday afternoon. Totally incompetent listing and laughable BIN price.

Look at the new photo there are at least 9 lengths of flex and going by the number of sleepers each one is at least 4ft if not the full 5ft.. he says there is between 5meters and 5.2 well 5 M is 15ft ish yet 9 lengths............... oh i give in ive lost the will to live with the guy

Tony

Have a look at his other items for sale, it's in there now. Now there's 5 to 5.5m of track with an appropriate image. I think it's only just worth the starting bid, as the BIN price would get you the same amount of brand new.
