Here is a short video of one of the new batch of Roundhouse Jacks running on a new line here in Dorset. Mike Jackson started this railway just 12 months ago and has made great progress.

You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8aE...65/261f628744bd4f8aa0fbb2efdb6bd7cb.jpg[/IMG]

chris thats a great layout-

i liked the video,  and of course saw more of the layout-

i particulalry like the large rock placement and the track winding through it

i really appreciate its clean simplicity

yet its extremely interesting to watch and get the sense of purpose, as well as destination and distance

peco track???-looks great too

nice consist and loco as well

when the landscaping matures it will be even more wonderful
i think a lovely quaint smalll station might be fitting and suggest life on the line

Excellent Chris. That's the sort of layout I really wanted my new one to look like, but space/cash has not allowed me to.

Still, I can always hope....

Thanks guys - and yes Mike has done a great job. Steve the track is all Peco SM32 and Mike is in the process of deciding what station building to put on the small platform on the left. He already has three of Cain Howley's concrete huts which are excellent value (I have one on my railway too). Those large rocks in the centre are commercial concrete ones which are just light enough to manhandle.
I will have another video next week - an R/C Edrig will be starring.
Cheers
Chris

Yes - Mike has done a great job. It is 24ft 6ins by 18ft 6ins in total.

What a lovely track! My first impression was 'oh it's so small...' but then when I watched the video - there are so many beautiful vista's that the overall size of the track becomes irrelevant. Food for thought for me...

Not far off my size of plot, which from memory is 20-25ft square, very inspiring
