One of the things I've come across in my travels is that one way that you can tell the really good invention patents -- the competitors all joined forces to try to break it!

Another is the number of US "patents" for stuff that was actually invented by a 'furriner'... and we've spent the last decade or 3 complaining about China stealing our "intellectual property"?
