Hello, a few weeks ago I started to build a postal wagon to be added to the OcCre train.
I used wood I had at home and I took the measurements from the OcCre models BR 18 and Costa MZA that I just finished building.
As a first job I made the alluminium wheels with the lathe

I built the frame and the first walls

I do not have a drawing but only a couple of pictures taken on the internet, so I'm doing my best to build this model with the few information I have available

probably it will not be identical but I will try to build a decent model

i like your "all wood" aproach!

thank you!!

the sliding doors were not simple to build, I had to make a track able to get them out to overcome the thickness of the windows and handrails

Nice job, the wood work certainly sets it appart and will match it to your other Occre Products to perfection.

sorry I don't know where to buy nails.. Cornwall model maybe?
i have a separate sector box with many different nails taken from boat finished kits.. the plate nails are from Artesania latina.. te round are from Occre train models..
also you can contact this comèanies and ask if they sell nails..

look at this way to do nails..
is very easy, I made 700 in one night.

about patience school. here the Surprise.. hms Surprise — Postimage.org

take a hand drill and mount a nail on it.. press a hole in the wood and insert inside a piece of iron wire, copper wire etc..
fix it with ciano or shellac, and then cut it .
sand it to flat or keep a small part if you like a button head

I have used this way on Costa coach, this nails are in copper filed flat, are a little more elegant respect brass head nails

That's not just patience, there's an awful lot of skill involved. And practice and more practice and more skill. Can I please have some?
