A little more Tender - Roundhouse this time

Chris Bird

Steam,gardening, photography
Well it is hissing down with rain here in Dorset today - but yesterday was
beautiful, so I managed a few moments off from gardening to film my old Lady
Anne, reunited with her 1983 vintage tender. This came with the loco but needed
a top and coal load to make it usable. I guess it was originally meant for r/c
but Lady Anne remains manual control - and I promise that there is no electronic
trickery in the opening sequence ;-)

You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE0Qb0HKogU

And on my website news page as usual.

I have attached a snap of the loco - with extra crew to hand the buckets of coal over the back sheet! Also in the photo are a couple of buildings which I think are great value. The chapel on the top is from Stanton Abbey and is made from pottery, and the "cottage" is a concrete one from Cain Howley. Both needed painting and weathering to get the local stone look. I have no connection with either - other than as a satisfied customer.

Cheers
Chris

What a lovely loco! I do like the tender on the locl, makes it a bit more unique.

Chris, are you sure is no R/C trickery at the beginning of the video or maybe some fishing wire? ;)

great video- well they always are fab video's!

Thanks for the kind words Daniel - and there was no fishing wire either! I cleared the cylinders at about 20psi and then opened the regulator just a little. As the steam pressure came up to 40psi - off she went. Needless to say there was a lot of luck involved:)

Cheers
Chris
