Ray, I always get very jealous when I see your layout :thumbup:
 
One of the layouts that always gives me inspiration and keeps me imagining what I might do (if I had the skill).
But what layouts give you inspiration Ray, maybe John Allen's 'Gorre and Daphetid' ? It is a different scale, indoor, was built a while ago and was burnt to the ground but is just amazing to look at the pictures of what he achieved with old school materials and practically scratchbuilding everything
 
Thanks! Yes, John Allen's famous layout was an early source of inspiration for me, and a big influence.

I found the Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette back around 1980, and that provided a lot of inspiration too. Not just the detailed, funky narrow gauge layouts, but also the realistic structural models of guys like Nash and Greenburg.
 
More, more, more piccys please. What a fantastic looking line you have........:thumbup:
