5.30am. Idris bids his wife Gwen farewell and heads off to Priory Exchange Station:-

5.45am. Idris signs on at Priory Exchange Station:-

After signing on Idris heads for the locomotive shed:-

6 am. After checking over diesel locomotive Thor, Idris and Dai Jones moves off shed prior to heading towards ST Bernards depot:-

6.20am. Idris and Dai arrive with Thor at St Bernards depot to collect the branch line coach:-

6.30am. Idris and Dai depart St Bernards depot for St Bernards Station:-

6.45am. Idris and Dai depart St Bernards Station for all stations to Priory Halt:-

6.59am. Idris and Dai arrive at Priory Exchange Station.
7am. They depart for Priory Halt:-

7.30am. Idris and Dai arrive at Priory Halt:-

7.32am. Idris checks Thor:-

7.45. Idris and Dai depart Priory Halt with the all stations stopper to St Bernards Station:-

8.45am. They depart Priory Exchange Station for St Bernards Station:-

8.30am. Idris and Dai arrive at St Bernards Station:-

Time for “Snap” and then proceed light engine to St Bernards depot sidings to pick up empty skips.
9.40 am. Skips collected and passing through St Bernards Station:-

11.50am. Idris and Dai arrive back at St Bernards Station with loaded coal skips:-

12.30pm. Idris and Dai depart St Bernards Station for the coal depot:-

1.15pm. Idris and Dai return to St Bernards Station to shunt loaded skips, unfortunately they have a derailment:-

Idris was knocked off his feet.

3.20 pm. Idris and Dai depart Priory Exchange Station for Priory Halt:-

4 pm. Idris and Dai arrive at Priory Halt.

4.05 pm. Idris chats with the local monk:-

4.10 pm Last train from Priory Halt. Idris and Dai depart for all stations to St Bernards Station:-

4.35 pm. Idris and Dai arrive at Priory Exchange Station:-

4.45pm. Idris and Dai depart Priory Exchange Station for St Bernards Station:-
5.10 pm Service terminates at St Bernards Station:-

5.30 pm. Light engine movement to Priory Exchange shed:-

5.55 pm. Idris and Dai arrive at Priory Exchange Station and shed:-

5.58 pm. Idris chats with Hugh the shed foreman. No defects to report:-

6 pm. Idris books off duty:-

6. 12 pm. Gwen waits at the cottage door to welcome home Idris from his day of toil:-

I'm going to have a word Casey about Bro Parry, rostered over 12 hours, still driving after the 11th hour of his shift, only break in the first 5 hours of his shift and worse of all, no relief or support after a "safety of the line" incident.

Idris filed a report and the District Civil Engineer and his staff are looking into it. In the meantime a speed restriction of 5mph has been applied to the track from the engine shed to the station.

Nah PhilP, thats normal timetabling and rostering, I've booked on for trains that don't run or left 10 minutes earlier worst of all is booking on and travelling for 3 hours to Wembley only to find your jobs not running, missing the last train and coming home in a taxi

Ah the joys of wonderful new Railway with greater more efficient more highly paid executives that think you can train any low paid person off the street to be a planner in 5 minutes.
