Great railway. Superb modelling.

Inspirational....seriously. Loving it.
I started on page one wondering 'what IS he thinking!', and its been a delight to read the thread. Top stuff.

I like your train of thought

John nothing suprises me with this thread and your ideas and im sure you have thought about it if not il let you claim it but if you were to paint the decking silver then with thin lining tape mask where the rail would be and paint it brown (bear with me) place some track on top and spray the board dark grey then splater light gray on top to simulate gravel remove track and see what it looks like. i suggest if anyone of us did it it would look silly but with you !!!!!!!!!!!

John, I really like what you did with the Playmobil stuff. It opens up a whole new frontier.

Somehow managed to miss this... glad I've found it now, it's absolutely fantastic! Very impressive- and inspirational.

Great blog - great video. Some beautiful modelling. Like the loco - great flexibility.

I only just found this thread!!! Impressed? Or WOT???

Incredible what careful thought and application can achieve, not to mention patience.

At a later date I was going to blog my feeble effort.....not sure I can justify it now.

Departs stage left, with head bowed, gently shaking.

Thanks for the encouragement RJR, I'll think about it. At the moment my impotence......... errr sorry!, impetous is to get the rail down, but I'm trying to keep a good photo record of all that's going on, so I could share it later. I have an unusual feature in the garden which has made life hard.

Love that loco its a credit to you

I was wondering about that sound card. How would you rate it? and how hard is it to install?

RJR said:
For £7.99 I think it is cracking value and good enough for people that just want to add the element of sound to a loco. It isn't specific to a garratt and not suitable for someone looking for an authentic sound. But at the price I could add a second one at the coal bunker end to simulate pistons at both ends

All in I think it was a good investment

As you say, great value. I have one - baseboard mounted - for my trailer layout to provide background sound.
