If you have a problem with a new item ..get in touch with the seller/manufacturer, who might be able to resolve your problem with the item..depending on were you are in the world ect differnt consumer rights .
Its not great is it.?..

Intersting. I don't believe any Pola kits I have ever built had those defects.

Is this bought new ? It is either the usual "weathering" colour wash, these kits use extensively, that was very poorly applied at the factory or somebody has overcoated the tiles later. Moulds look a bit worn too. Max

I would not worry about it, from normal garden view it should be pretty well invisible. But could the worst part be put to the rear view so not seen so much or are the roof sections sided. Not that familiar with this kit.

Cant recognize the top photo / part. But that’s a bit rough.

roofs….hard to say….dont know if its old and was exposed to heat or temp humdity , (handled a bit??) that may have caused that. Or, brand new and a qc issue.

fwiw, i have many pola, some new, some from the mid 80s forward, several ancient nos, including the freight shed (with early paper signage, and one from about 2000). None look like that. But, some roofs do have anomalies…odd tiles

but, as mentioned…old molds? Odd patch of paint.?

that would not be an issue for me. As mentioned, a wash with some meths diluted india ink will hide all. Or, live with it. Depends on the inconvenience and time involved.

fwiw, the old pola was suberb about sending replacement parts…
simply circle the parts needed on the assembly diagram. i did this a few times with sun warped roofs and engine shed hinges, as well as a wonky turntable circuit board.

Dont know about faller. Nothing is as it once was……

The model is the new Pola 330881 goods shed though the tooling does look very old. Lots of external injection moulding marks that should really be on the inside where they cannot be seen.

I think the roof might have been spray painted at a high angle which might explain why some areas didn’t get painted.

I ended up returning it. I’ve asked Pola if they’ll make an un-painted version with grey baseplate, dark brown walls (to conceal the injection moulding marks) and maybe the dark grey roof from the Silverton station model. Fingers crossed!

The only 'odd' features I have experienced with Pola have been numerous additional parts.
No, not bits left over, but major duplicated sections of wall and roof.
i have a couple of buildings which have been outside now for over 12yrs with just minimal fading of roofs.
