Re:55055 settings

Steve,

The position of the dip switches they you have currently set is for "Analogue" mode (well thats how I read the manual).

The Bus Id of the receiver should be set to 2 - set Dip switch 2 to on, the rest off (OFF,ON,OFF,OFF).

Editied to correct dip switch setting

Just checked my kit. I am using ID 1 having not changed any of the RC settings or dip switches.

Two suggestions:
1) Try setting all the dip switches to 'OFF'. That's the factory default and is supposed to be ID 2, but I've a funny feeling that LGB's datasheet is wrong and the default is really 1. If that doesn't enable communication with your handset...
2) ...check the ID setting for the handset. Reading my 55015's instructions, it defaults to 1! ID programming routine is on page 34 of the instructions, or here:
http://www.champex-linden.de/lgb_pr...9E11598525693100641561/$FILE/55015_032004.pdf

Good luck!

Re:55055 settings

The ID being set is for use on the MTS bus and is preferable to be ID 1 or 2 as they have priority over other IDs.

I take it you have conected the LGB Bus connector on the 55 to one of the LGB buss connectors on the Central Station (and not the 51070 connector).

When you switch it all on, what is the state of the LED?

Now there are some central stations that have a bug in the firmware that prevents wireless operation. If this is the case then the central station will need to be reurned to Massoth to be upgraded.

Steve - I'll bring an LGB 55015 controller with wired & wireless connnections, to see if that helps debugging.

Steve,

I believe that the early parallel versions were the ones that had the firmware bug. :(

If you know someone with another MTS2 system, try the receiver with that. If it works then it is probable that it is the central station.

I swapped an older serial MTS2 central station with a friend who had a parallel version who couldnt get the wireless receiver to work. I cant offer to test it for you as I have a central station that dosnt like them either!
