55016 won’t switch into programming mode

Hi I cannot get my 55016 to switch into programming mode such that I can change a loco address. I keep the stop button depressed, then push the central station reset, and it should then switch to P mode, but it isn’t? Any ideas and am I following the correct procedure? I have used this before but it was many years ago!!!

Programming loco address with 55016

I managed to get a 55016 into prog mode.....but can't remember how......but it's by releasing one of the buttons ( pssibly stop ) after half a second.

If you manage to find out how, could you post the answer in both threads, so that future queries can be answered
