Trying to source supply of 2 axles, wheel set spec below. Usual sources and Google search does not pinpoint any. Can you help please ?

Spec - 2 axles / steel / insulated (optional)/ c20 - 22 mm diameter / 3mm journals (I could sleeve down bearing to suit 2mm) / 75mm axle length

Thanks in anticipation, Max :)

Can you supply a drawing with all these measures ? I am not so good in all the English words.

Thank you I'll get back to you. No problem. I used to have to provide drawings, with tollerances, to the CNC machinists producing the wheels for my slot car productions. 25 years ago mind you. What sort of cost, with postage, please ? See benchmark below. Max

75mm axle length

A bit pricey though

The axles on the LGB ones (67343) are only 70mm long, though (just measured mine) and those are unusually long (compared to other wheelsets I have). Are you sure you need them even longer?

If they would suit, you can get them (a bit) cheaper . . .

Having said which I have spare small wheelsets (need to go out to the garage to measure the precise diameters) on shorter axles, if you'd care to re-axle (?) them.

Cheers

David

Thank you David, you got me to check. Correction, yes 70 mm length, 3 mm dia axle journals, 20 mm wheel diameter. Max

i p engineering 20mm £11.00 plus carriage, I 've used these on a brandbright ashbury third 4 wheeler, they are in the homebuild section of their website and are insulated
I was going to say that but when I searched for them could not find any, I reckon I must have looked at a different traders site! Doh

Looks like the IP ones might do the job. Strange that the US made items axles are correct for 3 mm, and not Imperial at 1/8th", with the right tolerance. The Ozark journals have a little extra room so running unadulterated with 1/8th" should be noted problem. It's a white metal bearing, so what's not to like. Thank you jimmytrains. Max

Then the LGB ones (67343) are a perfect match for what you need.

Since my earlier message, I've been out to the garage AND found the ones I mentioned (though all unnecessary now, I presume)!

The nearest I have to your spec are 6 axles with 19.6mm diameter wheels (insulated) on 3mm diameter axles (though only 58.5mm long).

They were part of a (poorly described) job-lot that I bought because I hoped that some of them would fit LGB field wagons (but none did). Other 45mm gauge metal wheels I have (other than those from well-known commercial concerns) are 10 axles with 15.6mm diameter wheels (uninsulated) on 3mm diameter axles (though only 63.1mm long), and 2 axles with 23.5mm diameter wheels (insulated) on 3mm diameter axles (though only 58.3mm long). On the subject of small wheels, I also have 5 (!) axles of plastic wheels on 2.8mm diameter axles which are 63.8mm long.

Cheers

Thank you David. I have gone ahead and bought a pair of the IP made ones. Just ordered off their website, £16 including the postage at £5. I think that should improve the look of my "mini bobber" caboose. The supplied 30 mm dia set, shown, give it an odd look and ride height. I'm looking forward to the "lowrider" look. Max.

These aren't insulated - if you running tracks power it is no bueno.
I am all battery or live steam with "dead rail" operation. I was track power/live steam till 5 years ago. Then age caught up with me :D I have built a few IP kits over the past 20 years, mostly from their Darjeeling range, so I am aware of this limitation and avoiding mixing stock in running sessions. As a 16 mm NGM Association member the lines I visit are are operated likewise and are similarly "dead rail". I have rejoined the G Scale Society recently though, so I will keep this in mind, thank you. It is easy to swap back to the originals as I have made the journals easy to remove. Shameless plug, build thread here - Ozark miniatures 12' Bobber Caboose kit build Max

No, these, selected 45 mm gauged. Not stated as insulated and do not appear to be. No insulated listed like those, unless I missed something. It's not an issue, see above. But thanks. Max

At that cost i might get these to re-axle a platform I have. It requires 4 pairs. To make them insulated i can just cut off axle in half and 3d print a tube 3mm id 6mm od. Or whatever dia axles are on these.
