2 Lgb Compartment Coaches Iii & Iii/iv As New

I discovered these two boxed up in storage as I forgot that I had them
If anyone's interested in a pair of LGB compartment coaches before I put them on Ebay, they are 3rd and 3rd/4th class coaches in virtually mint condition, they're equipped with Massoth interior lighting which plugs straight in to the rear light socket of recent LGB locos like the Corpet Louvet for example. The lighting sets alone cost around £15 each
I only ran them a couple of times and not at all since I sold my Corpet Louvet a few years back.

The 3rd/4th coach is absolutely mint & I think hard to find? with its original box,and I'm hoping for around £100 (£150 new)
The 3rd is very good but not in it's original box - (LGB coach box, but different label) around £70 (£100 new)

Can't really tell from the photos, but what roof finish do these have? Is it a smooth shiny surface, or a rough textured one? I think the earlier versions had the shiny roof, later ones the textured finish.

You must be something of an expert, I had no idea there were different roof finishes.

Both the coaches have a slightly textured roof finish, which on your reckoning makes them later versions?

Does that make them more or less valuable???
