Over the last few days, managed to do the first running sessions of 2026, more of a testing of the tunnel mouths, but with the distance viewing reversing point incicators also tested out, bit of a failure in that one, they do work but carn't be seen form the normal viewing position...
...I should have painted the inside the tunnels black, but I am sure a couple of rattle cans will sort it...
More testing today, well you need to continue to ensure the recent works are fit for purpose...
Have had to swap over a new point motor as it too stiff to be reliable enough to return the switch blades to the main line, from the reversing loop setting, causing trains to split the point and derail. The replacement, an older spare point motor, is slack enough to make it an reliable throw. One strange thing of note though, was that it had to have the power feeds swapped around to get the matched setting to it's twin.
