What voltage is your relay coil rated at?

I use 12V coil relays, with a series resistor.. This allows you to 'trim' the system to get a reliable throw of the relay.
I also use track-voltage to drive the cleaning motor. - That way you are not loading the decoder with both the traction motor and cleaning motor.

So i wired it up via putting the "-" from the track motor to the track power as Phil said and it worked perfectly!! also the motor does not seem to be going quite as fast/violent.

I will order the speed control that Arthur posted to control it better.

Hopefully this will help anyone else that attempts this conversion.

Wow with all the hard work on this instalation I am glad I bought a Chipped one. This thread does show what a great helpful community we have though.
