See Pine Tree Junction from the air with video from the Sandwell Valley Railway's amazing GPS Radio Controlled Drone Quadcopter. Toby has a terrible shock when he crashes into a mountain of pine cones that have fallen from the trees. Watch as Thomas and Percy help him out!

Brilliant filming - superb views!

Worked okay for me Tony.

Wow the helicopter shots, well quadcopter, are great.
Another very watchable, enjoyable video ;)

Magnificent views, nicely put together, thoroughly enjoyed the video, await the next installment.

Peter, if I knew how to do that I would.
It will be because I have to use a mobile with Internet tethering for Internet access which clogs up a bit on Sundays. No land-line or cable.

Truly entertaining !

Another cracking production! Great stuff! The additions of the sound and the smoke are superb, and the soundtrack fits the video beautifully with its rather "heroic" theme.

On the quadrocopter, is that powering the helicopter too, or is that video magic? It looks like a Playmobil SAR one to me.

Hi, Thanks for the post. I was thrilled with the shots from Sandwell Valley Railway's drone. The shot gave the garden a totally different perspective. Here is the drone in use again. http://youtu.be/u_dBaTRINak?list=UU7g2wyd2gXBNkVJvECOuaZQ

Well that was certainly worth waiting for. Very good.
Hi Tony, So glad you were able to watch it in the end. We had great fun making it with Keith's converted Thomas and Percy. He did a great job with the radio control, sound cards and smoke units. Our Thomas and Percy just run on battery power with no smoke or sound but I was able to borrow Thomas's sound to put up against Toby. The magic of Apple's Final Cut Pro X! Here is the drone in use again. http://youtu.be/u_dBaTRINak?list=UU7g2wyd2gXBNkVJvECOuaZQ

Hi, Thanks for the post. The Playmobil helicopter is just pulled up with a length of fine fishing line on a pole. You can spot the line if you look closely. We just turned the blades with our fingers then jumped out of the shot. The drone was used to film the ascent and then the shot over the garden. It also filmed the penultimate shot at the end. The smoke unit and sound card in Thomas and Percy were fitted by Keith from the Sandwell Valley Railway. Our Thomas and Percy are only battery controlled and don't make any sound or smoke. It did all work exceptional well and we are very pleased with the result. Here is the drone in use again. http://youtu.be/u_dBaTRINak?list=UU7g2wyd2gXBNkVJvECOuaZQ
