Nice work, I must try some of this Goop for my indoor section, I have heard it mentioned in US Magazines but never heard the receipt. Wonder what is like on Bread?

My club has just bought the layout and we are going to do an extension, add another main and branch line to it.

Noel & I have just finished building the extension tables for the layout.
All we have to do now is lay track and scenery

Just a progress update. We have finally finished duplicating the  main line and made a start on the scenery.
We have utilised a bridge I made for the MGR several year ago as an access point to the centre of the layout.

On Saturday the 6th April, we had an open day at the club.

I have been doing a little work over the past few months on the layout and have failed to do updates.
I have included a shuttle branch line with a second terminus.
I am using Heathcote Electronics Irdot-1 and route control to switch the LGB points.

These shots are prior to any landscaping





This is after, I have used a combination of carved polystyrene, plaster castings and foam rocks.





Yesterday (Saturday) I spent the day watching a Bachmann tram shuttling up and down, very relaxing.



All that remains to do is ballasting, scenery, buildings, people and vehicles.
Only a couple of years work, should keep me of the streets for a while.

Progress has been very impressive. I like the incline especially. I notice that you've space the pillars closer than just at points where tracks join.

Two questions if I may Simon. What are the dimensions of the room and what is the steepest gradient ?

I'm not sure of the dimensions, I think it is about 20 x 25 metres.
Enough room for a very large HO, large O/On30, N scale and Triang.

About 1 in 15, designed for a loco and one passenger or two four wheel goods.

What was the inspiration behind that model? Must be a story there...? Looks very good....

(I counted up - somehow I've made four dunnies on my set-up....I'm sure a shrink would make something of that!)

The derelict house is a pottery model I picked up at a Salvo`s store for $6, years ago I bought A shop in the same series new for $65
