Recently a need has arose for a light passenger service in addition to the 6 daily stopping passenger trains and the express, that could be ran between the far flung country stations of Woodrow county and ran by the stations themselves when the need arose and during the busy summer months, originally it was proposed to simply provide an engine and a carriage but the only covered facilities in the Southern district (The Northern part of the line is where the larger stations and the large sheds are) where too small to economically support an engine and a coach (their really small).
The best sight was a small goods yard with a semi-derelict workshop between the rural stations.
it was decided that instead of enlarging the current facilities to build a railcar, it would have to be cheap, reliable and only require a small crew to drive and maintain.
The Woodrow has had a railcar before, it wasnt a great success.
It was incredibley unreliable, weak and prone to breakdown. (thats how it really was, not just the story)
It was broken up just before Christmas for its parts.
The new railcar would have to be more reliable and be able to haul at least 1 carriage.
A designs was decided upon and after a week or so of work this is the result.
OK enough fantasy (it is fun though
)
Its an IP coach that Iv shortend the body of and enlargerd its chassis.
the electrics are a nice bodge job by yours truly
it runs really well and I will soon be buildign a trailing coach to go with it.
