Windy Bottom Stock Transfers

Due to the sad news that Windy Bottom will be closing soon, various railways are now receiving displaced rolling stock, locomotives and fixtures and fittings.
It seemed a good idea to have some pictures of the transfered stock in it's new homes to carry on what Fred established.

Arrived at the Nutbrook last Friday.
Black Saxon Meyer heads a long fitted freight.

And with sister loco in Nutbrook station.

Also this rather nice DR bogie open wagon

I've been honoured to find a load of Fred's scratch builds a home on the WGLR. All have now been returned to revenue earning service.

A Midland Railway designed horsebox, now seeing use carrying milk churns.

Another MR design, this time a brake van. This is in use with the Glascwm Interchange Tramway.

A GWR designed horsebox and a cattle wagon. All of the above are built from plasticard.

And finally, yet another horsebox, but built from wood and with fully opening doors.

I hope these wagons are a fitting tribute to Fred's excellent modelling skills. Many thanks Fred.
