Why only half a screen on Android landscape?

Hi
Is it only me or is anyone else only getting a narrow column of posts on the right side of the screen on an Android tablet in landscape view? The previous screen (ie New Posts view) is fine but as soon as I click on a post I get a single ad on the left of the screen and then the posts as a narrow column on the right. It remains as a narrow column no matter how far down I scroll. Very frustrating.

Yes - but only that first ad appears on the left. As I scroll down, the left of the screen is empty, apart from the banner ads which fit the whole width after every three posts or so.

It's OK on my laptop, but I only fire up the laptop occasionally

It does the same in Safari browser on an iPad, but only occasionally.

If you carry on down to 'similar threads' you'll find the headings are displayed with vertical text with huge blank spaces everywhere.

Interesting. What I'm seeing is just half a screen -full as previously, but this time no ads at all. However, when I refresh the page I get a millisecond of the posts filling the full width of the screen before it immediately flips to the half screen view as in .....
