I have looked at Tom Miller's Rio Grande layout before and just boggled at it but had more time over the Christmas period to look more closely. It is just stunning. He has used his money to get others to do most of it for him but in doing so has learnt a few skills himself.....OH YES he does have a sit on live steam layout in his...*?BACK YARD?*...

Hi,

Even more is that he has a 'ride on' 7.5" gauge (mentioned/shown on some of the Youtube links) system outside the 45 x 90 feet building that houses the narrow gauge (+ an American Flyer layout as well) inside.

There are some DVD's of the layout(s) available from Pacific Vista, where there are also some short trailers of the DVD's

I always said that if I won the lottery I'd quit work, get a music degree and be a professional brass band conductor and music arranger/composer.

Stuff the music I'd build a sodding great barn and fill it with trains.

not to be crass but would conservatively guess this is in the range of at least a million dollars possibly a good deal more -i assume 100 per sq ft just for he builidng no land

given the building, interior trim, lighting etc appointments , models and labor -just amazing

staggering investment into the hobby but truly unique and exquisite
