Hello Folks,
I have just purchased an Aristocraft caboose from e bay,and unfortunately it arrived with a wheel set broken....,damage caused very likely through heavy handling by courier,and no fault of the seller.Was wondering if anyone out there might have a spare wheel set to fit this caboose.Pictures attached.....OR Can they be purchased in the uk as spares,rather than having to go direct to Aristocraft in America ?

You wouldn't have a pic or size of the offending wheelset?
 
By all means give Andrew at Garden Rail Centres a 'phone call (he is closed until Monday the 16th. of this month) and discuss this. He is a most helpful person and specializes in large scale garden trains. The wheels for the Aristo Long Steel Caboose, which is what you appear to have, are especial to those items in so far as they are designed to collect power from the track to power the caboose lights. Ordinary wheels might well work but would not be able to light the car as they would not have the plunger pick-ups fitted to the axle.
 
Might not be quite what you need Ade, but I have several LGB plastic 31 mm wheelsets in the train shed?
If you need an axle or 2 then give us a shout mate....
 
Has it got plastic wheels fitted as it should have metal ones factory fitted which are pretty hard to break?
