What does this mean?

May I ask what the 48 means please? I have allegedly viewed "all media", so not sure what else I can do?

You my need to leave the site and return for your actions to affect the count. Close the site and reopen it and see. (You may not need to logout.)

Try clicking on 'Media Viewed' on the menu bar

Took me a while to realize I had "unviewed media", kind of a nice feature...
