WGRG Running Afternoon at Brain C's

Sunday 13th October and the Wellington Garden Railway Group's monthly running afternoon was hosted by Brain and Diana C at their recently expanded railway.

There is always much to see a Brian's railway, and lots of spots for cameo shots. (Brian R's Corpett on NZR duties)

David A's loco hauling Gavin S's beer train.

The freight yard was full of Brain's own trains.

One of the many new buildings, all scratch built of course as we've come to expect from Brian.

The big, and I mean big engine shed is new too, as is the saw tooth roofed freight shed.

Down at the winery end (yes the railway has it's own winery) there is some new roading and cars.

Past the winery in the original part of the railway Brian's ballast train waited all day on the branchline to the gravel works.

The Dubs A crossing into the expansion and what is that it is towing?

Yes it the GSC Round Robin Boxcar on visiting it's second Kiwi railway.

Here tucked into the freight yard while Manawanui steamed away with it log train.

Manawanui is being driven by my daughter Hannah

She did well

Her own railcar (plus Michelle on too) was circulating at the same time and she comfortably keep the spacing, well done Hannah.

John S ran his Clyde diesel in amongst all the activity.
