Isn't that the railway that has the Main Trunk on the other side of the garden fence?? :wave:

In particular, I recall the hotel in the third picture as shortly afterwards - as we were enroute to Napier - this hotel caught my eye. Could it have been the prototype I wonder?.......

:wave: I think you may be thinking of the Royal Hotel at Featherston, on the way over to Ian's layout.

:rolf: Always used to make a compulsory stop there on our bus trips to the Wairarapa. Liked the place so much, we actually made it our destination for the Christmas do one year. :clap:
 
Thought so. John took me out there one evening - I couldn't remember the owner's name (well, until now that is!). Nice.

Ian & Brian and spent some of the day before installing Sunset Valley Railroad air operated point actuators on three of the turnouts. They work real well.
