We All Need An Airport !!!

thats really clever,,,,,, we use to get them in when i was at raf brize norton,,,,

they are monsters,,,,, especially if you can get up close to them

Probably need an Acre or Two plus CAA Permission. Seriously though, this is a Magnificent Modelling Effort, one wonders how long it will be before Miniature Wunderland at Hamburg replicate it.

Wow.
Especially when the container truck was picked-up, which showed how small everything was.

We get Antanovs 124s coming in here at Wattisham.

It's so big, it has to load/unload on the main runway....

Terrific!

We are off to Hamburg to see the Wunderland exhibit later this spring. Besides the trains and vehicles, the airport is something else.

Now I wonder what it would look like in G scale........ maybe something like this...

(only a semi-silly question)
Do vehicles accessing the runway for this need a call-sign, and clearance from the tower?

I guess not, as once the Antanov has landed, it has effectively closed the airfield to any fixed wing flying.

Usually there will be a couple of Oshkosh Bowsers there to refuel, a Fire Tender, Tugs and Fork Lift vehicles, as well as various lorries for any cargo.

They are used to take Apache to and from the US for weapons training in Nevada and New Mexico....

Impressive model.
