I don't know if it helps, but Glendale junction have a LGB flat wagon with log load in their second hand department for £25.00.

At the risk of swearing HOBBYPLUSUK (formerly STOmodels) are selling bulk packs of 12 Newquida gondolas for £150 on eBay with free delivery. I've got some and the 'gondola' is only a snap fit on the Bachmann/LGB style bogie stake flatbed. Mine came apart without too much difficulty. I know they'll need a bit of fettling and you need to make up your own stakes, but at 12 and a half quid a throw I thought they were worth it. ****The 'swearing' bit referred to Newquida, not HOBBYPLUSUK as I've no complaints whatsoever with their products or service.*************

These are without logs. You are welcome to have some of my budleia cuttings for loads!

I love em. One of mine is converted from a tank wagon and two are HLW. Maybe those are options you could consider.

Perhaps I could bring my nine over some time to strengthen your train when you have built up your collection. I know your trains are often considerably longer than this.
