Just putting this one out there.

How hard would it be to get myself a Roundhouse Vale of Rheidol in green, as new, private sale, genuinely little used and perfect ???

Anything Narrow Gauge have 2 and GRS have 1 all green 1 lined. No notes on condition. Seems like no shortage and all easy to find.

I did ring about the first one. They wanted £2500 for it, that's new money !!!!
I really can't bring myself to give 100% new money for a second hand engine, you just don't know it's history. I know there not made anymore and all that, but it's still second hand and coming from an unknow channel.

The other two from Simon are still a little too much for second hand I think.

The back to bay 6 looks good, I'll ring in the morning :-)

Am sure you will find Steve is on hols till the 27th, I think he usually
has his hols around the V Festival to miss the mad traffic.

Send an e-mail showing interest and he will let you known when he is back
 
I rang at 10.15am, 5 minutes after it hit the matt, sold.
I rang GRS, they have 3 brand new ones, £2700 :(
That's too much money considering the L&M is £1800 and that's as bigger loco.

I'll make one at some point I think, that way it will be full of detail and fully scale :)

The VoR has a much higher spec Rob, usually whistle, drain cocks, big gas tank are options they nearly all have, and it is fully sprung, they run sooo smoothly, just glide along in comparison to unsprung locos. so yes, I have one! I must admit it isn't the shedmaster's favourite though, but he has never been able to say just why that is - odd. Fickle things, people!
