It really was a grand few days. Beer, trains, steam trains, narrow gauge, beer and good food - excellant.
Arrived Hamberg Thursday morning and this was in the station.

It was right over the other side of the station which was a shame. Its a german 01, looked very grubby.
 
We took the regional train to Rostock and then the local to Bad Doberan.

At Bad Doberan we found the Molli just across the platform. The trains are timed to connect.

The first mile or so is street running.

Then out into open farm land where the speed really picks up. They do 50Km/h which seems pretty fast on the narrow gauge of 900mm.

Cool - full size LGB, I like it :thumbup:
If you look in the picture with a '4' in it in post 14 you can see they even have a 12" to 1" track feed wires!
 
Yes, your quite right. I've just had another look and gee some of the track is very heavy rail indeed, interesting.
