Of the last five posts only one has been 'home grown' so as to speak. The other four are Stateside modelers efforts. I must say, Mik, Shawn, Garrett and Jerry certainly show off their modeling skills to a great degree.

Maybe they have been 'confined to barracks' due to snow, however having two left hands I wouldn't even attempt to copy them. I am sure one or two this side of the pond are beavering away scratchbuilding so come on guys - get it finished and wave the flag.

I was outdoors all day at one point the temp hit 10.5 not bad , but I then went into the workshop and fitted a lot of new wheelsets, and modified them as well, then got side tracked running trains, did not come into the house until 21.30, the work continues, never enough time tho. roll on retirement

To add one to the UK score - this is one I did some time ago. The diesel has a scratch-built body on an MDC power unit. The caboose was bashed out of spare bits of Bachmann boxcars plus a pair of freight bogies and other oddments from the scrap box.

Second picture is one of a series of ore jimmies - the only bought parts are the axleboxes, wheels, couplings and brake wheel. The rest is styrene , wood and card.

All the best,

I am in the process of building a shorty (40ft) High Cube box car, some Colorado scale models buildings. I have taken some photo's of them as I have gone along, so when they are finished I'll put them up to your scrutiny.
