I've noticed that updates to my post (Irish engine bash from big hauler) do not show up as "New Posts".
Am I doing something wrong?......thanks in advance.....tom

Do you mean if you edit your post then the edited post does not show in New Posts ?

Is t not a case of 'you' created the post (so know about it) and the system saying 'It's not new to you'??

My comment for today, would be the site seems quite slow and 'laboured'.. Am also getting 'long running script' errors, which I guess is adverts being served, but failing??

Let's say this again but in a different way........

When I add an additional (new) post, with text and photos, to my "Irish engine" thread I don't see that action show up as a "New Posts".

It is the same for all of us..
The Forum software say's "You created it. You know about it.."

It is a 'new' entry to the postings on the Forum, and to the rest of us it will appear in 'New Posts', but to you, although you have just created it, and it is 'new', it does not meet the criteria of a post new-to-you, as defined within the Forum software..

However, when you post in a thread, it should refresh the view of the thread with your 'newly-created' post at the bottom of the thread.. - Is it that you are saying is not happening?

Thanks Phil........your explanation clears it up for me.....and yes, my new posts do show up at the bottom of the thread.

Now help me on this......my thread is getting "longish" with pics......how can I reverse the thread so that the newest pics are at the top.....not having to scroll down the page seeing the same pics over and over in the process?

thanks again.....tom

Ah, now you have me on that one! ;)

Perhaps someone like Mr D, who has a H-U-G-E thread running can help??

But:
You should see a series of numbers, top-left, when you go into your thread??
These are 'pages' of posts (about 20 per page, from memory).. If you click on the highest number, you will get to the top-post of the 'newest' page..
That is the best I can do on that one.. :nerd:

Same thing happened to me, I went in to correct a error on "small rural station and freight depot" and it disappeared from new post, Bill
