Two short vids of my railway plus an impressive US railroad

I've just posted a couple of videos of my railway on Youtube:

This one just shows a goods train running round the main loop - which I shot back in 2008 but have only just got around to editing:

This one is a compilation of clips from a running session this summer:

Things have come on a fair bit between 2008 and 2010 - though still tons to do.

While I was browsing Youtube, I came across this garden railroad at the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens in Omaha. I've worked out there are seven different loops at varying levels - and have lost count of the number of bridges. I imagine it would be quite a crowd-pleaser.

I'm assuming that when all the track was bought for the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens Line, LGB had a bit of a boom and some spare funds....

[align=center]I like those sweeping curves there very nice and how do you get the green stuff to grow so fast?

Vegetation or money?
Actually, I think it's something to do with the quantity of rain we get in the North West. We seem to have had more than our fair share this year - and as I look out of the window at this moment, I'm wondering when it's going to end.

Great line Rik - two very nicely compiled videos - really like that fast flowing stream too.

The third was something else too. I would want a de-railment there judging by the height of things. What impressed me the most was not the sheer amount of track, but rather the very imaginative use of tree branches or saplings (coppiced timber maybe?) for constructing the trestles and bridges.

Anyway enjoyed all three - thanks for posting.
