Troublesome Truck conversion

I could have sworn I'd seen a picture somewhere on GSC of a private-owner conversion of a Bachmann Troublesome Truck open wagon, but the Search facility hasn't turned it up. Apologies therefore to the original poster, since the conversion shown below isn't an original idea of mine.

Kelly's Directory for Cornwall, 1909 edition lists among other advertisers Bishop and Peter, General Merchants of Looe. The firm had depots at Moorswater, at the junction with the L and CR, and on the quay at Looe itself, and supplied sand, lime, coal, manure and timber. They were an ideal candidate for a PO conversion. The Troublesome Truck is less so, being of generous proportions for my purposes.

From the original advertisement, Chris Moxham has produced his usual excellent artwork, applied to the wagon as shown. My sole contribution was to remove the face from the end door.

Old copies of Kelly's are so useful if you want authentic traders' names for the area where your layout is set.
