Not good.....

But for Trainworld, especially in the early 80s, when retail prices were really high, I would not have been drawn to G scale. Mr Bianco Sr made this possible by great low pricing, great service, and giving other retailers a reason not to follow what I speculate was Walthers iron fisted distribution pricing.....

many thanks, from one who indeed helped move some of that warehouse product over the decades.

Good news from Ken.

I bought a couple of items direct from USA around 10 Years ago. Price, Import and Shipping costs gave me considerable savings compared to even Germany. I once visited the store around the turn of the Century. But did not buy anything as I did not need anything at the time. But was good to see the well stocked store in Brooklyn.

Good news indeed. I bought quite a good deal of items from them in the distant and financially secure past ($2 to £1 days) and always found good prices, very helpful staff and quick delivery.

OK, I have now copied the post by Greg on the Trainline points and the followups starting with Ross's to the Trainline Points thread in the track section

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle (no comments from the peanut gallery) - so it has! How the hell did that happen; I copied all four posts at the same time! How could I lose one?? - particularly as I'm sure itw as there yesterday. Sorry Greg. And of course the one I lost had to be the only really valuable one in the string, sod's law...... Might be worth reposting.
