eh? If it's 5' diameter then that IS the diameter of the circle? Radius is simply half the diameter.

At the risk of stating the obvious, radius is half the diameter - so the radii of these 3 sizes are, respectively, 2'6" (about 760mm), 3'3" (about 990mm) and 4'6" (about 1370mm). Now, LGB R1 is 600mm, R2 is 765mm, R3 is 1175mm - so your smallest Aristo curves are pretty close to LGB R2, and the other two are respectively slightly smaller and larger than R3.

Don't know if that helps at all?

Jon.

Roly, as it's Aristo track, it will also help if you mention whether it is Euro or US pattern sleeper spacing - I'd assume probably the former, but not necessarily! I think Aristo's convention is that if it's US spacing, they have a stars'n'stripes logo on the box end label - if not, then it's probably Euro by default. Euro spacing looks pretty much identical to LGB, Piko etc, US spacing is narrower sleepers closer together.

I have Aristo 5' Dia 6.5'dia and 9' dia how do these relate. Is there a table somewhere explaining how the various radii equate to the overall circle diameter?
Took me a while to find where I'd put this! I drew it up some time ago to help me quickly visualise the relative diameters of LGB, Aristo, USAT and Piko trackwork geometry. I tried to use the same colour where the diameter is roughly the same.

Might be useful to folk? I haven't checked whether Piko have introduced any other stuff since I did this in 2009.

Should be preserved somewhere on the forum for future reference if you are prepared to allow it.
No problem, if a Mod wants to stick it somewhere more permanent. I can provide a larger/clearer version.

If anyone spots an error or omission then let me know and I'll update it.
