Track Cleaning Pad Sheet Material

Does anyone know of a reasonably-priced source of the material used on LGB track-cleaning blocks and wagon-fitted pads? I saw a link on the old GScaleMad forum years ago but can't find a similar reference here on GScaleCentral. I think the last one I bought was a Massoth one but would like a larger sheet if possible.

Thanks guys, but I was looking for slightly larger sheets, partially because the cost per sq cm should be better but also for a potential project which would require a larger size.

I think UK folk have tried Garryflex blocks with some success as track rubber blocks. No personal experience. I'd want to be sure of getting a reasonably fine grade block.

Try eBay search for rubberised abrasives

We tried varying blocks and pads on the Ruschbahn, but had to be admitted that there is no substitute for a good old LGB Block, replacement Pads from Massoth when LGB ones worn out. My original LGB Cleaner bought circa 1980 was only on its last legs around 2000. Not bad value I reckon. Now on its first replacement from Massoth when they became available. Accept no substitues.

I mostly use Garryflex blocks mainly because GRS in Princes Risborough stocked them (the blue very abrasive version) they work well although I have more recently bought a pink block at an exhibition which is much less aggressive.

I haven't ever seen sheets of it though it normally seems to come in bar of soap sized blocks.

Hope this helps
