Yeah, they look a lot better repainted. I hadn't realised they came with planked sides.

Rule 8 notwithstanding, weren't you tempted to stick them back to back and make a bogie carriage with 2 balconies?

Wow super job. I have two of these beasties and the FO Rack Loco as well, hope you do not mind but I intend to copy your work. I had originally got the coaches to do a bogie coach out of them, but I think this option is much better. I may also tie them in with a repainted Toy Train Balcony Van.

Question please, what colour spray paint did you use please?

Great job! They're going to look great with one of those box-on-wheels rack locomotives. Maybe with my BOWRL. Hmmm ..... you've got me thinking now
