Some picture of my railway in Gloucestershire from 2003. I had about 40 yards of track and 3 LGB engines, a Pearse Ulysses and a modified Mamod. In 2005 it was dismantled and packed away for a decade while I worked in the Middle East. It has now been resurrected in southern Spain and I'll add some pictures of it in due course. Mike

One of my Mallets' motors had seized up so, after a visit to GRS over the Christmas period to get a new motor, I managed to get it working again. First thing to be done on return to Spain was to double head it with my other one. A new loop is in the process of being constructed. The track was laid out to prove the route before we headed to the UK for Christmas/New Year and a start of the ballast retaining walls was laid. Stone was collected from the local hills. some weeding to be done and some vegetation clearance to be done before linking up the loop.

Some good progress made today. The easy part of the route is now laid; just the tricky part and link up to finish. Meanwhile some ballasting needs doing.

Some rough laying through the undergrowth to get the line of the track for the link up. Some big stones and some clearing work done today. More 3mm gravel required to complete the levelling and ballast, and some more large stones to line the route. Hopefully I'll be running trains by the weekend.

I would like to see a track plan when you have time, just to put into perspective your most recent track work....

Very nice, I can feel the heat from here....sunshine, whats that then!

Mmm 2 black LGB Big Malletts, nice. Any interesting small Lizard Like Creatures like sunning themselves on the Ballast. When I Holidayed at Malgrat de Mar near Barcelona back in 1973, the full size Ballast was infested with them. Boy did they scramble off at High Speed when a Train was passing.

After something of a hiatus in the UK, I returned to Spain and finally got some shelves up for the engines and rolling stock. My wife will be driving out at the end of the month with a full MTS system (hence my questions on the DCC forum), which will require a little more shelving. All in all, I'm glad to get it all safely stored.

It's been a while since I posted some pictures. A good friend, with a serious photo hobby, came out in July and took these four pictures. I have loads more but these are the only ones I could access while I'm currently in the UK.
