Thomas and the Seaside Special

You've seen such videos as 'Thomas and the High Speed Train' from the Sandwell Valley Railway film crew and 'Thomas Saves the Day' from the Pine Tree Junction Film Unit.
The latest release is a collaboration between PTJ and the SVR. It has been released today and is called 'Thomas and the Seaside Special'. It is available for viewing on both my YouTube channel @ https://www.youtube.com/user/dcrtuk and on the Pine Tree Junction channel @ https://www.youtube.com/user/dcrtuk/pinetreejunction.

Here's the link to the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VdOpgz_8O0

Some nice shots - looking through the carriage window was one of them!

Reminds me of the seaside specials (Leeds to Blackpool 60 years ago)!

Well I have to say that your stories and production knock the current professional CGI stuff for a six. Superbly well done, nice editing and a super story with a well thought out Film.

Thanks very much Mick and John for the great comments. I know that Thomas and his friends do not have a large fan base on this forum, but as a vehicle for story telling and film making they are perfect. Some of you love G Scale models, some of you love model making, some like running trains to a timetable - garden railway people are a disparate lot. We (SVRly and PTJ) get our greatest fun from making these videos. As you can imagine there's lots of planning, props to collect and assemble, and gardens to tend and tidy before any filming takes place. The whole process of making this video from the initial idea, through the filming sessions and editing the video clips took several weeks, but that's the fun for us. We're already thinking of an idea for the next production.

In our club we have a live steam Thomas. I think we have spotted the number one Thomas fan on the planet. This little kid went on like this for the better part of a half hour, until we ran out of steam.
