At last - a day off work, I'm not elsewhere, and the sun is shining!
Finally comissioned the branch line extension to the main circuit by completing the sectional wiring and running the first "official" passenger service into the branch terminus. The station building (which has a fully detailed interior - not that you can see it when the roof is on!) was originally built as the station for the higher level circuit, but it was a bit too small so it fits the bill for the branch nicely. It's totally scratchbuilt with the main walls built from plywood covered in coarse sandpaper. Before anyone asks, it doesn't live outside, as it is mounted on a wooden base that enables me to store it indoors when i'm not running, something I am doing for most of my buildings.
The branch is actually capable of being electrically isolated from the main line, so it will mainly be used by the battery locos that are planned or under construction.
A few photos from today are shown below...........
The first train in the station.

A couple of other views on the higher level.
Only thing is, I've now got to make a new station building for the upper level. I've got some photos of a suitable subject, so that will be a job for the winter........
A cunning plan exists to scratchbuild a suitable loco for that Belgrano Cargas goods stock as well, as the LBS loco is really a passenger type - unless I can find a ludicrously cheap LGB White Pass Alco to repaint, which I doubt.....
