The sequel to the prequel

Well it's been a brilliant bank holiday Monday, clearly the weather didn't know it was a holiday.

Some may remember this thread - http://www.gscalecentral.net/tm?m=168767&high=daveb2 < Link To http://www.forum.gscalece...168767&high=daveb2

Where I inflicted a short video of my first track laid straight onto the grass and the eventual completion of the first permanent loop of the garden - just about this time last year. Things have been moving since last year, still at my usual glacial rate, and today's good weather coupled with the holiday gave me the opportunity of putting in the last pieces of track to join the two ends of the second loop that have been oh so close now for a few weeks but never having the time free.

Still lots more to do but I can run trains round and round and just sit... watch... plot... and smile.

Anyway someone told me you like pictures.

LGB3 it's not and I don't have the dedication to think it ever will be but it's fun and that's what it's about.

Looking good Dave.
It seems you will be having the same problem as I have with prolific vegetation.
I deal with it by selective, clandestine pruning!

Thanks
The brick edging gives me a 4" buffer zone, about a days worth in the summer :) The boss is OK with me doing a bit of pruning to keep it off or lift it off the line, the strawberrys are a bit of a special case though.

Well it's been a lovely day here and with all the jobs tidied away I was able to have a little train time :)
I've been putting together probably the biggest, most expensive "Airfix" kit I've ever bought. Hopefully learning from long ago experience I've not been rushing it, although I'm sure I could've gone a lot faster than I actually have. It's not quite done yet but given the sunshine I thought I'd just make sure it fitted the spot I'd earmarked for it and looked "right"

Slabs to cut into platforms and lights to make but the station building itself is nearly done.
