The Ochsenwaldbahn Line - from the begining again.

I thought I would take the opportunity to start again. A brief history in pictures of the Oxney Island Line.

I started with the station loop. This is on a wall about 2 ft high which gives a nice working height. The foundation is lightweight blocks settled onto sharp sand.

The loop can easily take an 8 coach train. I like long trains and the layout is nearly level to enable this.

I also used timber decking for the 'flying' sections. This will later be a bridge.

The decking continued into the countyside. A bit raw but it will soon green up.

The full circuit was completed one evening. Great satisfaction.

I finally got around to ballasting the blocks. This railway is going to evolve slowly but surely.

The Scheoma diesel stayed on the line for a while but management (Me) decided it was not quite what we wanted. Came and went in e-bay.
