Well i suppose the title says it all really, but here we have some footage i shot yesterday while out playing around with new station area to give you an idea of parts of the new railway layout.

The quality of video is not quite as good as others but its still watchable all the same.

Nice video. What equipment did you use to shoot it? Digital Camera, Camcorder?, Was it on a tripod?

Looking really nice Jason. The music also really suits the scenes too.

Thanks guys.

All track work is by LGB and i use both R3 points and curves all round, which did cause a few headaches fitting everything in.

I use a two year old JVC HDD SD camcorder mounted on a very small digital camera tripod brought from Jessops ages ago in one of their sales a few pounds.

I have used windows movie maker live this time round but for some reason when converted to youtube a lot of the quality was lost. I did change the way i saved it from last time which uploaded the file as HD which is was not even filmed in.

I will try something else next time to keep the quality better.

The music comes from one of those free music sites some of the songs are a bit on the short side but there is a pretty good range of music you are allowed to use.

The only thing i dont like is this "Science-fiction" Loco.

That Aristo-Switcher (or is it a liner??? The running black Diesel with the "round edges") i find too cute. I always wonder if it would be able to be changed into a 1:20,3 narrow Diesel with a new cab and some railing extensions.....

The layout runs smooth. I like it.

Frank just shows how much i know as i did not know that the RS-3 was not even a real engine.

I just buy what i like and thats why i have ended up with all kinds running on my railway, i wonder how many others of my engines never ran in the real world!

Nice one Jason.....qualty is fine to me.

Don't understand what Frank was on about re the RS-3.

It is or was a real loco and ATSF had just one which they got secondhand from TP&W

Great video Jason enjoyed it very much

oooops...hold it!

I didnt want to tell something bad about that loco. Just wanted to tell that i dont like the outfit.

I´m caught in a 1960´s world of railroads, and i simply dont like modern trains.

That is the same even with an ICE. But in forums there is always a problem to point out what u mean, especially when beeing a "langugage-stranger" like i am.
And for more...some people tend to take it as a personal attack when i say that i dont like something.

So, beeing honest is sometimes not the "fine english way", sorry for that, didnt want to bother you.

As told, its just a very individual appreciation to see oldstyle rolling stock with rivets and something to see, even from the outside.

So, lets hurt some other people, while beeing on that issue:
i have no clue why anyone except children want to have an LCE.
Both narrow-gauging and R1 layouts are stealing EVERYTHING of what a ICE is worth looking on: smooth, gentle running at high speed on impressing big curves.

I dont mind.
I can accept it.
I cant understand, but i can accept and tolerate it...my layout has many faults and dont really care about them.

In the end, we just want to have a little drive arround. Taking a close look it doesnt matter at all with what kind of rolling stock. The aim is to have fun and "be away" for some hours out in the graden yard.

Therefore, i think, its not clever to tell that i dont like a loco.....and not fair.

Greetings

(no worrys, im relaxed... )

Frank no worries mate, i always enjoy hearing a fresh take on the hobby and how others feel about what they and others do or don't run or model so no need to explain on my behalf as i am far to laid back to pickup on or worry about things.

I do know what you mean though as i was none to keen on the USA scene when i first set out, i used to love picking up odd looking European engines but once i saw close up the impact a big American diesel in that striking Santa Fe war bonnet colour scheme i was hooked and have never looked back.

As they have always said G Scale is a very broad church indeed.

Any way back to the topic in hand, i hope to have a new video soon showing how the railway works with two trains at once running.

Jason.
