Very nice. Like your Business Car.

Mick

Silly questiuon, I know: what business gets done in a Business Car, given that in the days of the narrow gauge there wasn't 24/7 communication and the pace of life was slower? Was it just like Business First on an aeroplane - a place for "big wheels" to feel special?

The earliest ref. I can find to the use of business cars is from the Colorado Rail Annual No. 24 ? A Ticket to ride the narrow gauge.[/i]
?In 1881, Jackson & Sharp constructed business car A, which would later go to the Rio Grande Southern as the San Juan[/i], Later named Edna.[/i] To complement the new ?General manager?s car,? coaches 1, 4, 6 and 8 were rebuilt into business cars for the four division superintendents.?

Ah, so they'd be the rough equivalent of an Inspection Saloon from UK standard gauge companies pre 1923. Was Edna someone's SWMBO, I wonder.
